Sevilla Coach Eduardo Brizzo Diagnosed Of Cancer

Sevilla have affirmed their head coach has been diagonised to have prostrate cancer in the wake of coming from 3-0 down to draw with Liverpool in the Champions League.

Spanish media say Eduardo Berizzo, who is enduring with prostate malignancy, told his players at half-time in Tuesday's match at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Sevilla's players hurried to Berizzo after Guido Pizarro scored injury time equalizer in the 3-3 draw.

A club articulation wished the 48-year-old Argentine a "quick recuperation".

It included: "The restorative administrations of Sevilla FC report that the coach of the first team, Eduardo Berizzo, has been determined to have an adenocarcinoma [malignant tumour] of the prostate.

"The future examinations will enable us to choose which are the means to take after with respect to the treatment."

Berizzo was designated head coach in the summer on a two-year deal, following a three-year stretch at Celta Vigo.

Roberto Firmino scored twice and Sadio Mane included the third as Liverpool ruled the opening 45 minutes of the Group E coordinate, and were set to meet all requirements for the knockout stages with a match to play before Sevilla's dazzling second-half execution.

Wissam Ben Yedder scored with a header and a penalty in the initial 15 minutes of the second half before Pizarro jabbed in the equalizer in the third of seven included minutes.

"We needed to turn out with an alternate mentality for the fans and for the manager, he influenced us to play that way," said Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega.
