Lady Who Killed Her Husband Might Face Death Penalty

  The police have said the offense submitted by Maryam Sanda, the lady who killed her husband Bilyaminu Bello-Haliru, different circumstances, conferred an offense of "guilty manslaughter deserving of death."

The casualty, Mr. Bello-Haliru, was the child of a former minister and national director of the Peoples Democratic Party, Haliru Bello.

A charge sheet arranged by the police and documented at the FCT High Court said the executing was planned and are looking for capital punishment against the blamed in the two-tally charge.

Review that it was accounted for that Ms. Sanda cut her better half with broken bottle at around 3:50 a.m in their Abuja home.

The police however uncovered that the murder was conferred in Zone 2, Wuse, Abuja and not Maitama, Abuja as had been broadly detailed.

She was in this manner charged under Sections 221, 240 and 247 of the Penal Code.

The police have secured a two-week remand warrant to keep the suspect in authority as murder analysts proceed with examination.

The issue would be heard at Courtroom No. 32 by the Chief Judge of FCT High Court, the police said. Yet, no date has been settled for initiation of trial.
