Five reasons why Chelsea fans should be excited about Alvaro Morata

He was Antonio Conte's favored target

That is as per Guillem Balague. The Spaniard was supposedly the Italian's first decision as he had questions over Romelu Lukaku's work rate and capacity to press. The club selected to organize the now Manchester United striker however swung to Morata when they passed up a great opportunity.

His goals to minute proportion was the best in the Real Madrid squad

Morata scored goals at regular intervals for the La Liga and Champions League victors with an eminent proportion. That may have been influenced by the way that Zinedine Zidane once in a while put his trust in the striker to begin amusements, yet he was a staggering effect substitute and constantly inspired when given the chance to begin.

His conversion rate was far higher than Diego Costa's

27% of Morata's shots discovered the back of the net, contrasted with only 18% of Diego Costa's. With Costa on out, Chelsea will require no less than a like for like substitution and it appears that in Morata, they've secured an update. With more pace and less disciplinary concerns, it could be cash well spent.

At 24 years old, Morata will just show signs of improvement

Each season has hinted at change for Morata. Notwithstanding moving to Juventus from Madrid and after that back once more, with almost no strength or security, he has proceeded with his advancement with last season indicating him to be the total striker when Zinedine Zidane gave him the chance to inspire.

He has needed to work with Antonio Conte for quite a while

Marked by Conte for Juventus just for the Chelsea manager to leave Turin to go up against the employment of the Italian national group before giving Morata his presentation, the combine have almost connected some time recently. Just in April, Morata told the Guardian:

"I conversed with my father at that point and him saying: 'This present person will win the class there [at Chelsea]'… Conte is the supervisor who most "wager" on me, without even steadily having had me in his group… "

"I feel obliged to him since he's the mentor that most confided in me, most needed me, who made me feel I could perform at the largest amount. But then I've never had the fortune to really work with him. I'm certain at some point or another I will."

Presently he at last has that opportunity to exceed expectations under the Italian.
