Manchester City have concurred a £52m bargain for Monaco protector Benjamin Mendy.
The 23-year-old France left-back, who joined Monaco from Marseille the previous summer, played 34 times for the club last season and helped them to their first Ligue 1 title in 17 years.
His charge would overshadow the underlying £45m paid by City for ideal back Kyle Walker prior this month and the £47.5m bargain for focus back John Stones the previous summer.
City have not yet affirmed the arrangement.
Mendy would turn into the Premier League club's fourth real marking of the mid year and take their spending to more than £175m, following the enrollment of England universal Walker, Portugal midfielder Bernardo Silva (£43m) and Brazilian guardian Ederson Moraes (£35m).
City are likewise intrigued by Real Madrid's 26-year-old Brazil ideal back Danilo.
Before Thursday's pre-season amusement against Manchester United in Houston, supervisor Pep Guardiola said the club were conversing with "three or four" more players.
"They are youthful players, with the following three, four, five years as a top priority," the Spaniard included.
"We have alternatives for players coming however until the point when the arrangement is done, keeping in mind alternate clubs, I can't state anything."
