The 32-year-old - who burned through four seasons at Real Madrid in the wake of changing from Portsmouth in 2009 - commonly ended his agreement with Emirati club Al Jazira in December.

Diarra - who has fought long haul knee issues - won three trophies amid his opportunity at the Bernabeu, including one La Liga title.
Spells at Russian sides Anzhi Makhachkala and Lokomotiv Moscow took after before the French international put in two years at Marseille, moving to Abu Dhabi in April 2017.
